Job Description

We're a software company building web and mobile products for clients in the US, Canada, UK and Australia, and we're looking for a QA engineer to take ownership of testing for assigned projects. Your job is to make sure what we deliver actually works before it reaches the client.

You'd be testing web applications, APIs, mobile apps, SaaS platforms and, more and more, AI-based products. Day to day, that means turning client requirements into test scenarios, designing and running test cases, testing across browsers and devices, and validating APIs and the data behind them — not just what shows up in the UI. When something breaks, you write a clear, reproducible bug report in Jira that a developer can act on without a back-and-forth. Before a release goes out, you validate it and give a clear go/no-go recommendation based on your test results. You'll work closely with our developers and project managers, and sometimes the clients directly, so explaining an issue well matters as much as finding it.

A bit about us: since 2008 we've delivered 1,000+ projects with 60+ engineers and designers for clients in 25+ countries. Our leadership is based in Toronto and our engineering team works here in Dhaka. We build with Next.js, Python/FastAPI, React Native, Flutter, cloud and AI.

Responsibilities

Turn client requirements into test scenarios.
Design and run test cases.
Test web applications, APIs, mobile apps, SaaS platforms and AI-based products.
Test across browsers and devices.
Validate APIs and the data behind them — not just what shows up in the UI.
Write a clear, reproducible bug report in Jira that a developer can act on without a back-and-forth.
Validate releases and give a clear go/no-go recommendation based on your test results.
Work closely with developers and project managers, and sometimes the clients directly.

Skilled required

2 to 4 years of professional software testing experience.
Strong manual testing — test-case design, exploratory, regression, smoke, functional and integration testing.
Web application testing, plus cross-browser and responsive/device testing.
API testing with Postman or similar — comfortable reading API responses, HTTP status codes, authentication, and request/response payloads, and spotting common API failure cases.
Mobile app testing.
Basic SQL for database validation — able to run a simple query and confirm the data is what it should be.
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC and Agile/Scrum.
Ability to turn requirements into clear test scenarios.
Ability to perform release validation and give a clear go/no-go recommendation.
Good written and spoken English for reading requirements and reporting issues.
Strong analytical, detail-oriented mindset — you catch the thing everyone else missed.

Advanced QA skills we expect:

Automation testing (Playwright, Cypress or Selenium).
Performance testing (JMeter, k6).
Security testing (e.g. OWASP ZAP).
Basic understanding of CI/CD and how testing fits into a deployment pipeline.
Experience with device-cloud platforms like BrowserStack.
SaaS product testing.

Nice to have, but we don't expect all of it:

AI/LLM application testing.
Mobile automation.
